This past weekend I made a trip to San Francisco to check out The Color Factory. If you love colors then this place is perfect for you. The color factory is a two story Interactive exhibition for all ages. I was able to purchase tickets right when they were released. Unfortunately now tickets are currently sold out, but fingers cross hopefully they’ ll add more dates soon.
As a blogger I’m always taking photos to share and one of my favorite feature at the Color Factory were the photo spots! When you walk in you’re handed a card that you register with your email. Some rooms have a photo spot that tells you where to stand after you scan your card. There is a 5 second count down (like a photo booth!) which is more than enough time to get your pose right. After your picture is taken it automatically sends it to your email. The quality of the photos I have to say are impressive. See for yourself 🙂

I love the deserts natural hues just like most of my clothing colors. Here is a beautiful wrap dress I got from Tobi. I love the calm blush color and the white floral outline on the print which gives it definition. Not only do I love the colors, I also think the cold shoulders with the detailed ruffles make this a sweet and flirty end of summer dress.

I heard about these amazing and comfortable leggings from Girlfriend Collective on WhoWhatWear.com and was intrigued. What caught my attention was these leggings were for FREE! I only had to pay for shipping, which I didn’t mind. It did take a while to receive them, which I was aware when I placed my order. After 3 months of waiting, the day has finally come! As a designer working with all sorts of fabrics, the first thing I noticed is how soft the material was and I couldn’t wait to try them on. As I was putting them on, I felt it was a little snug and would have liked it to have a little more stretch. Besides that the material felt great and it held everything in place making my legs look nice & slim. What really got me to buy these leggings is knowing that they come from a factory with fair wages and the material is 100% recycled. Unfortunately their legging campaign is over, but I can’t wait to see what they will have next!

With the amount of rain we’ve been getting in California we’re now able to enjoy fields of wild flowers in areas that was deprived. This past weekend I made a stop in Anza-Boreggo Dessert State park to check out the super bloom that has not happened in years. Besides the view of wild flowers I was able to do a little hike in The Slot Canyon. With the short amount of time we had I’ll definitely have to come back to check out all the other point of interests in the park. My chase for flowers this season just began.
Don’t forget to check out the metal sculptures along Boreggo Spring Road!
Some of the hottest trends right now are sleeve details, poplin fabric tops, denim and pom poms. I’m wearing a pen stripe off the shoulder top with cute tie details on each side. I paired it with cut off denim and colorful Pom Pom heels. Good bye old fashion sleeves and say hello to some sleeve interest. Whether it’s a bell, a tie, or exaggerated cuffs it’s all about interesting sleeves this year.

It’s been a year since I started this blog, time sure does fly and it’s already 2017! Over the holidays I got this cute planner from a girlfriend and it motivated me to jot down my dreams and goals no matter how big or small. There’s so much I want to do and see that I told myself if I don’t get to all of them it’s ok, just remember to live life fully. What are some of your plans for 2017?
I received this jacket a few years ago as a gift from my sister, which I’m in love with. What I love about it is you see the beautiful details in hand embroidery that makes it one of a kind. The craftsmanship of this jacket/ top originates from the Hmong ethnic group from southeast Asia. Because I am Hmong this piece is extra special to me. Do you have a special piece in your closet?
